Das Lehrbuch der vierten Auflage von Adventures in Japanese ist als gebundene Ausgabe und in Farbe veröffentlich worden.

Es wurden Kapitel mit Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji und Aussprache hinzugefügt.
Verbesserter Rhythmus
Diese Ausgabe enthält 12 anstatt der bisher üblichen 16 Lektionen, wodurch der Lern- und Kursrhythmus vereinfacht wurden und Adventures in Japanese besser in einem Jahr beendet werden kann.
Selbstbewertung
Jeder Lektion wurden Listen zur Selbstbewertung hinzugefügt damit die Ziele und Erwartungen klar definiert werden können.
Mehr Kanji
In Band 1 werden mehr als 60 Kanji gelernt um den Schülern eine solide Basis zu vermitteln.
